Cookie Box Creations

Cookie Box Creations teams girls with women architects and engineers, in a design contest to turn empty Girl Scout cookie boxes into free-standing structures.This activity is great for girls interested in a career in architecture or engineering to develop critical thinking skills and promote cooperation and team-building.

Last year girls created structures themed around "out of this world", as part of the ongoing exhibit at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science. This year teams will build their structures using the theme: I can’t wait ... to see the world!

Important Dates for 2013 - 2014:
Girl Orientation:   Thursday, October 17, 2013 at 6:30 PM at the JoAnn Fogg Service Center
Build and Display dates:   February 9 – March 2, 2014
Where:   Galleria Mall – 1st floor, south end in front of Sephora



Teams were are evaluated by celebrity judges in various catagories.

  • Creativity in Design
  • Difficulty of Engineering
  • Use of Color
  • Use of Cookie Boxes
  • Alignment with STEM
    (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)
  • Adherence to Rules and Regulations
