Get Moving!


Are You Ready for An Energy Adventure?
Find out how science, technology, engineering, and math are connected to the energy in you, the energy in all your spaces and places, and the energy it takes to get from here to there—and everywhere! Then make a pledge to cut down on your energy use, and challenge and inspire your friends and family to cut down, too. Want to boost your science savvy and become a leader who uses her energy to care for Earth’s precious resources? Well, what are you waiting for? Get moving!
GS Juniors can experience a day of fun or participate in a fun six week series on their own. Girls have many ways they can Get Moving!

Option 1:  

Get Moving as an individual or GS Troop using GSUSA guides:

Option 2: Come to a Get Moving council workshop

PGL:     Girl Scout Juniors (4th - 5th grades)
Registration Deadline:     October 25, 2012

Participants will earn many of the requirements for the Get Moving! GS Journey to apply toward the Energize, Investigate, and Innovate awards. Note: This book can be used toward a prerequisite for the GS Bronze Award.
Note:  Participants should bring a sack lunch.

Option 3: Host Your Own Get Moving Day (great for Service Units!)

If you have a group of 50 or more contact stem@gsnetx.org about hosting your own Get Moving Day. We will provide curriculum and supplies and help arrange for STEM volunteers to facilitate stations (A deposit and for a very minimal cost for supplies may be required).
