Girl Scouts & Blockbuster Partner To Promote Business & Economic Literacy
This year Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas partnered with Blockbuster resulting in 616 booths sales totaling more than 1,300 hours and raising $250,000. In doing so, Blockbuster helped to promote the Girl Scouts’ signature Business and Economic Literacy program: the world famous Girl Scout Cookie Program. This partnership brought great success to Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas, including the first-ever Blockbuster Business Etiquette Patch program. This inaugural program entails Girl Scout Troop members practicing business etiquette skills such as proper introductions to management, faithfully following store rules and guidelines, offering services to store employees, and maintaining a clean and neat work environment. After receiving a signature approval, Girl Scouts can proudly wear their new Blockbuster patch.
