World Café – Conversations that Matter!

A World Café (or knowledge café) is a workshop facilitation style which provides great opportunity for open and creative conversation on a topic of mutual interest to surface collective knowledge, share ideas & insights, and gain a deeper understanding of the subject and the issues involved. Participants move between timed conversation circles on issues or questions which most interest them the most. Here are just 5 of the 12 planned discussion circles for this year:
  • What are the most effective ways for a Service Unit to keep all of its leaders connected and informed?
  • How can the Service Unit pass down and keep the Girl Scout traditions alive?
  • Describe some excellent Service Unit events. What makes them excellent? How do you recruit event coordinators for them?
  • What assistance do rural Service Units need from council staff?
  • What are some specific ways to encourage troop leader involvement in projects and leadership within the Service Unit?
