Gift of Girl Scouting: Community Outreach and Education Programs

At Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas, we believe that every girl should have the opportunity to connect with those around her to make her community and the world a better place. Currently, over 8,000 girls experience the genuine Girl Scout Leadership Experience through the “Gift of Girl Scouting.” Your contribution to the Gift of Girl Scouting allows GSNETX to offer programs in-school and after-school in communities where girls are at high risk of drug and alcohol abuse, teen pregnancy, violent behaviors and joining gangs as early as fifth grade, and where there is a critical lack of volunteers, as well as transportation and funding for Girl Scout activities. We know Girl Scouts can make a difference in the lives of ALL girls! For girls who participate in Girl Scouts for five or more years, 90% do not feel pressure to drink alcohol, 96% avoid drugs, 98% will not experience a teen pregnancy and 99% will never appear before a juvenile court.*
