Cookie Program Volunteers: The Girl Scout Cookie Program is an integral part of Girl Scouts’ Business and Economic Literacy initiative for girls in K through 12th grade where girls learn valuable life and business skills: goal setting, public speaking, teamwork, brand awareness, responsibility, money and time management, financial literacy and grassroots entrepreneurship in its finest form.
Cookie Program Administrative Volunteer: Job duties include filing inventory management, mailings, and other light administrative duties. Time frame is episodic from September through May.
Cookie Program Community Partner Volunteer: Recruit community retail partners via telephone, fax and mail; assist with implementation of girl incentive program including distribution of incentive items; and assist with special events/projects. Time frame is episodic from September through May.
Cookie Advisory Team Member: Team members are involved in the process of the education and training of other volunteers regarding the Cookie Program. Members engage in activities such as incentive selection, revising training materials, preparing and participating in GSNETX Volunteer Kick-Off event, training Service Unit level volunteers, planning and participation in special events, and other activities leading to successful implementation of the Cookie Program. Meetings held 1-2 per month from June through December, other episodic opportunities as arise. Position requires a one year commitment.

Girl Scout Leader/Assistant Leader: Are you looking to change a girl’s life? You can truly make an impact on a group of girls by volunteering to lead them through the Girl Scout experience. Training for this position is provided by an experienced GSNETX volunteer or staff member; online training is also available. For more information, contact Gerri Gordon at ggordon@gsnetx.org.
Girl Scout Service Unit Administrative Volunteers: Help GS Troops turn in membership registration, help support GS Troop Leaders, help plan local events for GS Troops, help encourage GS Troop Leaders to complete education sessions and be recognized. All of these things and more are needed in order to provide support to GS Troops in your community! Education and support is available to you, as well as development and special event opportunities. Print Media Archive Specialists: Do you like to scrapbook? The GSNETX Marketing/Communications Department is looking for someone who can chronicle GSNETX press clippings. For more information, contact Monica Contreras at mcontreras@gsnetx.org.
GSNETX Adult Learning Facilitators: GSNETX’s Adult Development Department is always looking for adults who can teach other volunteers how to do a variety of skills so they can assist other Girl Scout adults and girls. Camp/Facilities Maintenance Volunteers: Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas is seeking volunteers to help with various camp/facility maintenance projects: Trail Clearing; Brush Clearing; Window Cleaning, Inside and Out; Office Cleaning. Girl Scout Gold Award Committee Meetings: 1st Thursday of each month 6:45 PM GSNETX Headquarters (JoAnn Fogg Service Center located at 6001 Summerside Dr., Dallas, Texas 75252)
The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest award a Girl Scout can earn. The Girl Scout Gold Award Committee’s function is to approve Girl Scout Gold Award Projects. After these Girl Scout Gold Award Projects are approved, adult liaisons from the Girl Scout Gold Award Committee are assigned to the girls as they work on their projects. Historic Preservation Committee Meetings: Second (2nd) Sunday each month 2:00 PM, location varies by meeting. Contact before attending.

Members of this team of adult volunteers will participate in planning and implementing the annual volunteer retreat event. The team is chaired by a volunteer and has various committee chairs and members. Volunteers need to be registered adult members.
