Congratulations to Girl Scout Troop 125 on earning their Girl Scout Bronze Award! All 16 members of Troop 125 have worked with Operation Kindness, the largest no-kill animal shelter in North Texas, all year to earn their award. The Girl Scouts have donated their time by walking, feeding, watering, cleaning, and caring for the shelter’s many dogs and cats. Each member of Troop 125 received special training in order to assume the responsibility for the care of the animals and be an Operation Kindness volunteer. They also held a pet food/supply drive this April, at which they raised over $700 worth of pet food and supplies. Girl Scout Troop 125 is made up of 10 and 11 year old Girl Scout Juniors from Country Place, Furneaux, and Kent Elementary Schools, and Universal Academy. The Girl Scouts will receive their Bronze Awards on Friday, September 9 during a special ceremony held for family and friends.
