Girl Scout Leadership Experience
All Girl Scouts – whether they participate as GS Troop or group members, or as “Juliettes”, Girl Scouts’ individual members – can explore their Leadership Experience along any of six flexible Girl Scout experiences.
Girls may choose to participate in one or multiple experiences within a single year. (Some are geared to specific grade levels.)
- Camp – Girls experience the exhilaration of outdoor and environmental education activities at the Council’s beautiful day, twilight or residential camp settings.
- Special Interest - Girls meet others who share the same interests, for example: equestrian riding, archery, careers or engineering. The list goes on.
- Event - Girls participate in single events and meet different groups of girls throughout the year.
- Virtual - Girls get involved in interactive, high-quality program activities through the safe, secure environment of an online Girl Scout community, supplemented by live events.
- Girl Scout Troops - Girls meet regularly in the same group with their adult mentors over the course of an academic year to participate in a variety of programs and activities.
- Travel - Girls plan, earn money, prepare, and participate in regional, national or international trips that offer girls leadership and cross-cultural opportunities. This may include GS Troop trips, national, or even international GSUSA destinations.
