Camp is for YOU at Camp Gambill where swimming, kayaking, archery, tie-dying and making new friends are just some of the fun things YOU can do!
If you enjoy all things related to the Fourth of July, you won’t want to miss our special sessions of “Red, White, and You!” and “Stars and Stripes Sweethearts” June 29- July 1 where in addition to fun camp activities, you will also be earning your “My Flag, My Country, and Me badge”.
The horses from Camp Bette Perot will also be making a special appearance during several sessions this year - including “Best of Both Worlds”,“SPARK” and “Frontier Traditions”.
Camp Gambill is a beautifully wooded 54-acre facility located in Sumner, Texas. Featuring a sandy private waterfront, this camp has a swimming area protected by a floating pier, up-to-date canoeing and kayaking, a sand volleyball court and other outdoor activities such as wooded hiking trails.
If it is your first time spending the night at camp, be sure to check out our 2 night, 3 day sessions which provide a great introduction to the resident camp experience. In these sessions, you will have the chance to go swimming and make new friends while experiencing a short time away from home.
Are you ready for a longer camp session? Did you have the chance to attend Camp Gambill last summer, and really wished the short session wouldn’t end because you were having so much fun? If so, you won’t want to miss the week long sessions at Camp Gambill this year! You’ll have even more time to spend with friends exploring camp and going swimming and kayaking!
If you are entering grades 2 - 7, we have a session for you at Camp Gambill this summer!
Camp Gambill also offers the Counselor In Training (CIT) program for girls entering grades 10-12, and the Mariner In Training (MIT) program for girls 14 and older. An application is required. Online registration is not available for these leadership sessions.
Note: Member price is for girls who are already registered with the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas
