Financial Assistance

Financial Assistance is made available by the generosity of our donors and is intended to cover a portion of the costs for membership, uniforms and other staples of the Girl Scout experience.

A separate application must be completed for each category and for each individual member.  Incomplete applications will not be processed.   Requests for girls may only be requested by the parent/guardian of a Girl Scout served by Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas.
Membership

Girl Membership

Financial assistance for Girl Membership may only be requested by the parent/guardian of a girl who resides within the 32 counties served by Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas. Financial assistance for Girl Membership is only available to cover a portion of the membership for those whose total family income is less than $55,000 per year.

Adult Membership

Financial assistance for Adult Membership may only be requested by an adult who resides within the 32 counties served by Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas. Financial assistance for Adult Membership is only available to cover a portion of the membership for those who hold one of the following roles: Troop Leader, Troop Cookie Manager, Troop Volunteer, Service Unit Position.

Girl Uniform

Financial assistance for Girl Uniform may only be requested by the parent/guardian of any registered Girl Scout served by Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas.

Girl Uniform Financial Assistance may be approved for a portion of the Uniform Kit only (GSUSA Insignia, and a sash or vest). Items not covered include, but are not limited to, uniform components from the waist down, Girl Scout t-shirt or accessories, and books.

A Uniform Kit includes the following: 
-A sash or vest
-World Association Pin
-Girl Scout Pin, Daisy Pin, or Brownie Pin
-Troop Numbers
-Flag Patch
-GSNETX Council ID Set

You will be notified via email once your financial assistance request has been processed.

Weekend Camping

Financial Assistance for weekend camping includes Troop Camping, Service Unit Camping, and Council-Hosted Camping (examples include, but are not limited to: Mom and Me, Dad and Me, Family Camp). Only requests for camp experiences on Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas properties will be evaluated. Financial Assistance is not available for "adults only" events, such as Adult Retreat or Outdoor Skills Adventures.

Requests are evaluated during the 3rd week of the month. You will be notified via email once your financial assistance request has been processed.

GSNETX Sponsored Events

Financial Assistance for events is only available to cover a portion of the event fees for events listed at www.gsnetx.org/events. Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas does not provide financial assistance for event experiences that are not council-sponsored events. Financial assistance for events may only be requested by the parent/guardian of any registered Girl Scout served by Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas. Financial Assistance is not available for "adults only" events, such as Adult Retreat or Outdoor Skills Adventures.

Resident Camp

Financial Assistance requests for Resident Camp will be accepted once registration opens.

Day/Twilight Camp

Financial Assistance requests for Day and Twilight Camps will be accepted once registration opens.
