Recruiter

Dallas

The Recruiter is responsible for developing and executing effective sales strategies to increase girl and volunteer membership in an established geographic area, and generating leads and prospects to meet membership goals and increase overall Girl Scout troop membership growth.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Marketing/Sales or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years sales, marketing and/or recruiting experience, or equivalent combination of education and practical work experience.
  • Experience with a volunteer workforce or membership organization is a plus.
  • Minimum 1 year community engagement experience
  • Must be able to travel within designated regional area as assigned. Assigned area:  Dallas and the surrounding areas.

Site Manager

South Dallas - STEM Center

The Site Manager is responsible for providing general maintenance and custodial services in accordance with GSNETX policies and standards, and working with camp directors, staff, and volunteers to ensure that troop, day, and resident campers have a successful camping experience.

The ideal candidate must have knowledge and strong experience in carpentry, road maintenance, minor machine, landscape, water and sewer, and plumbing repair, and pool maintenance.

In this role, the Sales Associate is responsible for assisting customers with STEM Center souvenirs, badges and gifts. Avg. week is between 15-20 hours, primarily Saturdays, some Sundays and weekdays, as needed.

Group Leader, Girl Scouting in the School Day

South Dallas, Girl Scouting in the School Day

In this role, the Group Leader is responsible for being a role model for girls in behavior and attitude, assisting with field trips and special events (some weekends), attending weekly team meetings, and delivering programs as assigned. 

The Group Leader must also have reliable transportation, complete and pass a criminal background screen, hold a valid drivers’ license, and meet GSNETX driving record and automobile insurance requirements.

Sales Associate, Allen

Allen

Do you enjoy interacting with customers, helping volunteers and working in a beautiful shop? Then you're just who we're looking for to join our Retail Team as a part-time Sales Associate.

The Sales Associate is a key employee in maintaining good retail customer service in the GSNETX shop, and is responsible for serving customers including volunteers, parents girls, and internal staff customers. Avg. week is between 15-29 hours, includes working Thursdays from 10AM - 7PM and Saturdays from 10AM - 2PM.

Boating Instructor

If you enjoy spending time outdoors and helping girls have an amazing experience, we're looking to you to join our Outdoor Leadership Experience team as a seasonal Boating Instructor. 

In this role, the boating instructor is responsible for responsibilities related to the planning and implementation of the Girl Scout and aquatic programs in an outdoor setting while safeguarding the health, safety, and security of participants in the waterfront/boatingarea.

Archery Range Master

Seasonal - Sumner or Denison

In this role, the Seasonal Archery Range Master is responsible for archery activities during weekend camping, planning and implementation of Girl Scout programs in outdoor settings, and the safeguarding of participants’ health, safety, and security.

Camp Counselor

Camp Bette Perot, Camp Gambill & Camp Rocky Point

If you love spending time outdoors, working with children, and are committed to enriching the lives of our campers and their outdoor leadership experience, we're looking to you to join our Outdoor Team!

As a camp counselor you'll develop and strengthen leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills that will look great to future employers and advisors for potential credit/internship. 

Resident camp sessions run from June until to end of July, and camp staff training is provided prior to the camp start date

Camp Nurse

Sumner & Denison

In this role, the Camp Nurse is responsible for the overall planning and implementation of camp health care, including the safeguarding of camper and staff health and safety. The Camp Nurse must also participate as a member of the camp administration team to carry out the planning and implementation of outdoor programming.

This is an overnight camp split between two of camps: Camp Gambill and Camp Rocky Point. 

While we prefer applicants who can commit to an entire summer, we are willing to consider position sharing and applications that are available for a shorter time period. Did we mention that camp nurses' daughters can attend camp a much discounted rate?

Assistant Camp Director

Seasonal - Sumner, Denison or Palestine

As the Assistant Camp Director and member of the camp administration team, responsibilities include planning and implementation of Girl Scout programs in outdoor settings, acting as the go-to person involving MESH issues, and providing prevention and intervention consultation to camp leadership and staff on matters concerning mental health and behavioral concerns.Incumbents will be expected to live on camp.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, child development or related field, or equivalent combination of education and practical work experience
  • At least 1 year, or two prior seasons, of administrative or supervisory experience in an organized camp or school setting
  • Ability to make quick and accurate assessments of mental or behavioral conditions
  • Ability to excise balanced judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions, and to handle difficult or confrontational situations in a calm, consistent and equitable manner
  • High level of comfort speaking to diverse audiences: girls, parents and senior leadership

Lifeguard/Archery Instructor

In this role, the Lifeguard/Archery Instructor is responsible for  safeguarding of participants health, safety, and security in the aquatic area while providing a fun aquatic experience. Lifeguards will also be trained in archery and expected to provide archery programming. This is a part-time, temporary position from May through September.

The lifeguard is responsible for monitoring waterfront activities during weekend camping, and the planning and implementation of the Girl Scout and aquatic programs in an outdoor setting. 

This position is also responsible for the safeguarding of participants’ health, safety, and security in the waterfront/aquatic area while providing a fun waterfront/aquatic experience.  Lifeguards will work for the months of May and September.
