The Equestrian Program (everything to do with horseback riding!)
Girl Scouts camping during the school year at Bette Perot can choose to add horseback riding to their adventure! The Equestrian Program is supervised by our very own certified Equestrian Director. Each session is determined by the Director based on the girls’ age and skill level and even the weather.
Safety First: Girls and accompanying adults must wear LONG PANTS and SHOES WITH A DEFINED HEEL. You can borrow boots from us at the Barn, just get there 10 minutes before your riding time starts!
When do we ride? The EQ Director will assign riding slots when you check in at camp. One adult can join the trail ride with the troop for no charge during troop camping. Our expert EQ staff will show girls the way! Any other adults are welcome to join for $25 EQ fee, if we have enough horses available.
Leaders, please have the girl’s Health History forms on hand. We’ll provide helmets!
GSNETX’s Progressive Equestrian Badges give you the chance to become a Master of all things Horses!
