Patches & Badges

What is she passionate about? Does she dream of making her own movie, cooking food from a different country, or going geocaching? Sleeping under the stars, writing a book of short stories, or planting a garden? Well guess what? At Girl Scouts, she can do all that and more, and earn Girl Scout badges and patches as she goes!


Patch programs are a great way to explore a wide variety of topics. Detailed requirements for each patch are available below. Patches for each program are available in the council shops unless otherwise noted. Have a question? Email our Programs team!

History Museum Explorers
Discover your inner historian! Visit some of the Dallas’ best museums and participate in interactive curriculum that will connect girls to our vibrant past.

*The base and star of the patch can be purchased at GSNETX shops. Flags are bought separately during each museum visit.



Camp Project Partner 
Earn this patch by doing a special camp service project on any GSNETX campsite.


Girl Scout Troop Camping Patch 
For Girl Scout troops who camp at any GSNETX campsite. This patch consists of basic patch and segments that represent each council campsite.


GeoScouting Patch
Girls of all ages are invited to download the GSNETX app and start GeoScouting Camp Whispering Cedars during their campout.


Totem Pole Patch (5 total)
Visit GSNETX camps to earn this 5-part Totem Pole patch through fun outdoor activities.


Polar Bear Award
Earn this patch by camping in a tent (including platform tents) for one night when the temperature reaches 32 degrees or below at any GSNETX campsite.


TLC Camper Patch
Girls can earn the TLC Camper patch when they (1) demonstrate ‘‘tender loving care’’ for council camp grounds, equipment and facilities, and (2) satisfactorily complete the Camp Site Check-Out List. (Sold as a set.) 


Girls of "Note"
Girls of "Note" encourages girls to continue one of the traditional skills of Girl Scouts: singing. As you go along in Girl Scouts, you’ll learn more and more songs each year!


Mission Military Patch
Mission Military is an opportunity to learn more about military service and history. Girls of all program levels can earn this patch!


My Flag, My Country & Me  
Brownies through Ambassadors will learn to fold a flag, say the Pledge of Allegiance in sign language and conduct a formal flag ceremony, just to name a few, in order to earn these badges.


Scouting Northeast Texas
All girls can earn the Scouting Northeast Texas patch by learning about their community.


Summer Reading Program
The summer reading program is designed to encourage Girl Scouts to read, even when school is out! As with all activities, parents should be comfortable with the reading material their children choose.


Scouting Our Past
Uncover the fascinating stories of women who were Girl Scouts through Scouting Our Past.

Explore all that coding has to offer during engineering month by earning your Capital One Coding Patch! You'll explore coding through fun activities designed with you in mind. LEARN MORE

Discover artistic styles around the world and express your inner artist! Girl have the chance to submit their artwork into a Neiman Marcus patch design contest. One design will be selected to be featured as this year's design. LEARN MORE


Grab your naturalist hat and get ready to know trees! You’ll explore the importance of trees, explore trees around you, and plant a Communi-TREE. LEARN MORE


Peanut Butter Buddy
August & September
Expose hunger in your community and help make a difference by becoming a Peanut Butter Buddy! LEARN MORE


Goodwill: Good Turn Project
A collaborative service opportunity with the local Goodwill Industries of DallasNortheast Texas and East Texas, and support from GSNETX, to help individuals with disadvantages by collecting usable items for Goodwill to sell. LEARN MORE


Share the Warmth
You can help make a difference by collecting new or gently used comfort items (blankets, sheets, pillows) and dropping them off at any Sleep Experts location. LEARN MORE


Silver Lining Patch
December & January
The Silver Lining Patch Program helps girls make new friends and improve the quality of life for residents of nursing homes, assisted living and adult day care facilities. LEARN MORE


G.I.R.L. Patch Program
TAn opportuntiy for girls registered for the 2017-2018 membership year to earn 4 free patches to share their pride in being a G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)™. LEARN MORE

STEM Seal of Approval

(GSNETX will provide handouts at STEM events that explain which portion of the STEM Seal of Approval will be earned.)

We are committed to building girls’ interest, awareness, and competence in STEM. Your girls can join the fun by working on special GSNETX Council STEM patches. The black, center patch and State Farm patch are free and will be earned after completing the online reporting form. Please allow 2-3 weeks to receive an email about pick-up details.
