Trouble Logging In?

Q: Why isn’t my username working?
A: Your username is typically your email address. If you have more than one email address, try each. You can also use the “Forgot Your Password?” link to send a reset email to your email address. If you’re still having trouble, contact your council’s Customer Care team.

Q: Why aren’t I getting the password reset emails?
A: The password reset emails come from, so please make sure it’s added to your safe senders list. If you requested the reset email before marking our email address as safe, check your spam folder. If you’re still not receiving the email, contact Customer Care at (972) 349-2403 or to verify that your username/email address is correct.

Q: How do I reset my password when I no longer have access to the email address associated with my account?
A: Customer Care can easily change your username/email address without requiring you to recreate your account.

Q: Why can’t I see my family when I log in?
A: There are a couple reasons this could happen:

  • Another adult family member may be listed as the preferred contact on the account. That person must log in to renew. Contact Customer Care if you’d like to be listed as your household’s preferred contact.
  • You may have a second or duplicate account with a different email address. Try a different username. If that works, be sure to contact Customer Care team to merge the two accounts into one.

Q: Why can’t I see my troop(s) when I log in?
A: There are several reasons this could happen:

  • Troops are listed on a separate tab from your family. If you have more than one troop, look for the pull-down menu to change between them.
  • Check your member profile to make sure you’re listed as a volunteer in the troop.
  • Not all troop volunteers can access the troop tab. Check with Customer Care to see which volunteer roles they allow to access the tab.
  • If your background check has expired, you may lose access until it is up-to-date.
MyGS: Steps to Renew

Your Girl Scout Member Community, My GS, is your one-stop shop to renew Girl Scout membership online, update your contact information and make sure we have the correct information about all of your Girl Scout volunteer roles.  


Login to your My GS account. Need help? Check out our Logging Into My GS tool.


If given the option, click the "Member Profile" button.


If you’re renewing just members of your family, select the "Membership" tab. If you are a Girl Scout leader and renewing members of your troop, select the "Troops" tab.


In the upper right hand corner, make sure you have selected "Next Year" in the drop down box.


For each member you would like to renew, select the "Renew" drop down under the Renewal Choice column. Click "Continue".


You will be asked to accept the Girl Scout Promise & Law. Click "Continue".


On the payment screen, you can decide if you’d like to contribute to the GSNETX Annual Family Partnership campaign. We’d love for you to support Girl Scouts this way!

You can also make a donation to Family Partnership any time throughout the year at


Enter your credit card information and click "Continue".


A confirmation page will appear for you to review all the girls and adults you’ve selected to renew. Click "Submit".


Once the transaction is completed, you will be given the opportunity to share your exciting renewal news on Facebook or Twitter. You’ll also have the option to print an itemized receipt at the bottom of the screen. You’re all set for next year!

Update your contact info! We'd love to  keep in touch. Go to your Family Profile tab to make sure your address, email, your daughter’s school and more are correct for the upcoming year. Troop Leader Tip: On the

Troops tab, click "Edit" to check on an individual girl or adult members’ contact information.

Adding a New Member

IF SHE'S A YOUNGER SIBLING: On the bottom of the "Membership" tab in MyGS, you’re able to add a new girl or adult to your family under the "Add a New Member to Household" section. Select "Girl" or "Adult" then click "Go". Make sure to pay close attention to which membership year you would like to sign them up for and that you enter a girl’s CURRENT grade in if asked.

Select "Girl" or "Adult" then click "Go". Make sure to pay close attention to which membership year you would like to sign them up for and that you enter a girl’s CURRENT grade in if asked.

If someone is joining Girl Scouts but isn't sure what troop they'd like to join, visit, click "Start the Fun Today" button, and select "Unsure" when you reach the troop selection portion of registration.
