Jennifer Bartkowski, CEO

Chief Executive Officer

Ms. Bartkowski has been with GSNETX since 2009 and served as Chief Development Officer and Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer before assuming the role of CEO.

Today, Jennifer is leading an organizational transformation for the organization. With a strategic focus on membership growth, 21st century programming and brand, Jennifer is committed to ensuring that Girl Scouts is relevant to today’s girl and her parents. With a commitment to changing the workforce pipeline of North Texas, Jennifer chairs a national STEM initiative that was built on the success of Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas’ $14M STEM Center of Excellence in southwest Dallas. This 92 acre campus is a living laboratory for girls to explore science, technology, engineering and math. Today, the STEM Center serves as a 21st century program facility for 4,000 local Girl Scouts, as a field trip destination for students throughout North Texas and as a model for the Girl Scout movement.

Before joining Girl Scouts in 2009, Jennifer served as the Senior Vice President of Workplace Campaigns for United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, responsible for leading an annual campaign of more than $50 million. Jennifer’s career began after receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Public Administration, with a nonprofit management focus, at Texas A&M University. She has worked with a variety of organizations including the American Lung Association of Texas, United Way/Capital Area, private start-up Charitygift, and as an independent consultant.

Jennifer is passionate about developing the next generation of female leaders and is inspired by the 25,000+ confident Girl Scouts in Northeast Texas. She chairs a national STEM initiative inspired by the success of Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas’ $14M STEM Center of Excellence, a 21st century living laboratory that serves 6,000 local Girl Scouts, thousands of public school students through field trips, and is a model for the Girl Scout movement.

Jennifer is a Silver Award Girl Scout and the recipient of the Girl Scouts Thanks Badge. She is a recipient of the Dallas Business Journal’s 2018 Women in Business Award, and a 2018 Tech Titans Technology Advocate Finalist. She graduated from Texas A&M University and is the proud mother of two teenagers. 

Debbie Roling, CFAO

Chief Financial & Administrative Officer

Debbie serves as the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer for Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas. She is responsible for managing finance, human resources, risk management, customer care, retail shops, product sales and service center properties.

Before joining Girl Scouts, Debbie was Sr. Manager of International Financial Reporting at YUM Brands, where she coordinated reporting consolidated results for company and franchise KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut restaurants.  Debbie also has accounting, internal audit, planning, business development and market research experience from working in various roles at LG&E Energy for over 13 years.

Debbie is a native of Louisville, Kentucky.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing from the University of Kentucky and holds an MBA from the University of Louisville.  She is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor and a Chartered Global Management Accountant.  Debbie was honored as non-profit CFO of the year in 2015 by the Dallas Business Journal.

Debbie is a member of the Financial Executives Institute and AICPA. She has served as an assistant troop leader.

Chief Marketing Officer

Amanda serves as the Chief Marketing Officer, overseeing the marketing and membership divisions, with a goal to aggressively share the Girl Scout story. Her aim is to broaden awareness of the value Girl Scouts provides to all girls with a goal to change the lives of even more girls through the Girl Scout Leadership Experience program.

Amanda has fifteen years of experience in nonprofit administration and communications. Prior to joining GSNETX in 2016, Amanda served as the Sr. Director of Communications for Big Thought, where she led a strategic rebranding effort of the agency and was recognized with two Pegasus Awards. Previously, Amanda managed the SLANT 45 project with the North Texas Super Bowl XLV Host Committee, and worked as an account executive with The Reeds Public Relations managing marketing, fundraising and special events for several Dallas-based nonprofit organizations.

She holds a bachelor's degree in communications from East Carolina University, and a master's degree in public administration and nonprofit management from the University of Memphis. Amanda is a member of the Public Relations Society of America– Dallas Chapter.  In 2017, Amanda was named as a Dallas Business Journal 40 Under 40 honoree. 

Amanda was both a Brownie and a Junior Girl Scout.  She is a proud mom to three boys and volunteers in her church’s children’s ministry.

As the Chief Program Officer, Ashley oversees the Programs, Community Programs, and the Outdoor Leadership  and STEM Education Departments.  Ashley has also been instrumental in leading the Customer Engagement Initiative with Girl Scouts of the USA and Strategic Learning.

Before leaving the corporate world to pursue her passion for Girl Scouts, she served as Chief Marketing Officer for a student housing development company and Marketing Director for a real estate firm. She holds a Bachelors of Business Administration from Baylor University and currently serves on the board of the Frisco National Charity League. Ashley first came to Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas as the Director of Programs in 2012.

As a Girl Scout, she went on to earn her Girl Scout Silver Award. In addition to being a long-time Girl Scout volunteer to two troops, Ashley also has two daughters who are Girl Scouts who are currently in the process earning their Silver and Girl Scout Gold Awards.

Kristin Neel, VP, Membership

Kristin has been with GSNETX since 2007, focusing on developing membership across all levels of the organization. As the Vice President of Membership, Kristin leads all efforts to recruit, engage and retain girls, adults and volunteers throughout Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas. She oversees the Recruitment and Retention departments as well as the GSNETX formal adult recognition program. 

Prior to joining Girl Scouts, Kristin worked for Delta Zeta Sorority, traveling across the country and focusing on recruitment, programs and risk management with chapters as a consultant. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a focus on public relations from Marshall University and continues to volunteer on the national level with Delta Zeta. She also is a very active contender with Camp Gladiator throughout DFW.

Kristin’s family is full of a long Girl Scout tradition. Kristin was a Brownie and Junior Girl Scout as were her sister, mother and grandmother.

Erin Fischer, VP, Fund Development

Erin Fischer serves as the Vice President of Fund Development, overseeing the strategic fundraising initiatives for GSNETX.

Erin has seventeen years in non-profit fundraising experience. Prior to joining GSNETX she worked for Make-A-Wish Foundation, starting as an intern for the North Texas Chapter before climbing her way to Development Officer, Development Director, Vice President of Development, and Chief Development Office for both the Middle Tennessee and North Texas Chapters.

Erin is a native of Topeka, Kansas. She is a graduate of Southern Methodist University where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Corporate Communications and Public Affairs with an emphasis in Non-Profit Management. She also earned her certification in fundraising management from Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.

Erin was both a Daisy and Brownie, is a member of the Chi Omega Alumnae of Dallas, and is active in her church. Erin loves spending time with family and friends and is a proud new mom.

Steve Carnes, VP, I.T. and Digital Experience

Steve is an accomplished technology leader and entrepreneurs with over 20 years of leading exceptional teams with high levels of productivity. He uses his big picture mentality, which is anchored byh a strong technical background, to develop strategies to succeed. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, Management Information Systems and Services from Texas Tech University.
