Vice President, Fund Development

North Dallas

The Vice President of Fund Development is responsible for executing a strategy to increase the pipeline of individual, corporate, foundation, United Way, and special event gifts to the council, while maintaining relationships with existing donors. In addition to managing a personal portfolio of donors, the Vice President will be responsible for a development team and support the CEO’s fundraising effort, including closing out the current capital campaign. 

Successful candidates will possess the following education and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 7 years in experience in fundraising with a proven track record in generating "net" proceeds, preferably in northeast Texas
  • Experience in establishing community partnerships and increased visibility
  • Experience managing a staff and volunteer team

Lifeguard

Palestine - Camp Bette Perot

The lifeguard is responsible for monitoring waterfront activities during weekend camping, and the planning and implementation of the Girl Scout and aquatic programs in an outdoor setting. 

This position is also responsible for the safeguarding of participants’ health, safety, and security in the waterfront/aquatic area while providing a fun waterfront/aquatic experience.  Lifeguards will work for the months of May and September.

Group Leader - Girl Scouting in the School Day

Longview

The Group Leader is responsible for providing amazing Girl Scout programming to girls of different grade levels at various schools.

In this role, you'll work with girls during the school day in Gregg County school districts by assisting them on field trips and special events (some weekends). The incumbent must attend weekly team meetings, have reliable transportation, complete and pass a criminal background check, hold a valid drivers' license and meet GSNETX driving record and automobile insurance requirements.

If you enjoy spending time outdoors and helping girls have an amazing experience, we're looking to you to join our Outdoor Leadership Experience team as a seasonal Boating Instructor.

Archery Range Master

Cookie Program Assistant

Recruitment Support

North Dallas

In this administrative role, Recruitment Support is responsible for aiding in the distribution of flyers, yard signs, managing recruiting events, handling event coordination, and lending additional help to support various area recruiters.

The incumbent must have reliable transportation, hold a valid drivers license, and meet GSNETX driving record and automobile insurance requirements. Recruitment Support is required to work up to 29 hours each week through November 2, 2018. This is a part-time, temporary position.

Alternative Delivery Specialist

North Dallas - Full-time & part-time position

The Alternative Delivery Specialist will assist GSNETX in the organization, scheduling, delivery, implementation, and assessment of Girl Scout Academy programs for girls in grades K-12 through in-class and after school programs in collaboration with local schools or nonprofit program partners.

Eligibility requirements include:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent and authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be at least 18 
  • Must have a high school diploma or be willing to earn one while serving (undergraduate degrees strongly preferred).
  • AmeriCorps members will have access to students ages 17 and under, thus a National Service Criminal History Check is required. Applicants must complete and pass a criminal background check.
  • Must be able to commit to completing 900 hours of half-time service over 9 months, with a living allowance of $9,000.
  • AmeriCorps members will be eligible for an education award upon successful completion of service with satisfactory performance evaluation. (Must commit to at least 1 full year).

Camp Specialist I

The Camp Specialist I is cross trained and responsible for participating as a member of the outdoor leadership adventure and STEM program. In this role, you'll carry out responsibilities with special emphasis in the aquatic, archery, and ropes programs. The Camp Specialist is also responsible for the safeguarding of participants' health, safety, and security during outdoor activities.

Eligibility requirements include:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident and authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be at least 18
  • Must have a high school diploma or be willing to earn one while serving (undergraduate degrees strongly preferred).
  • Must be willing to become certified in either archery, ropes/high adventure or lifeguarding. Training will provided.
  • AmeriCorps members will have access to students ages 17 and under, thus a National Service Criminal History Check is required. Applicants must complete and pass a criminal background check.
  • Must be able to commit to completing 900 hours of half-time service over 11 months, with a living allowance of $9,000.
  • AmeriCorps members will be eligible for an education award upon successful completion of service with satisfactory performance evaluation.

Program Assistant

South Dallas (STEM Center of Excellence- Full-time & part-time position

The Program Assistant is responsible for program delivery, chaperoning participants during assigned sessions, and assisting with station rotation/other girl activities. The Program Assistant will also share in the implementation and coordination of high quality programming that meet the objectives of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience and STEM programming.

Eligibility requirements include:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident and authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be at least 18
  • Must have a high school diploma or be willing to earn one while serving (undergraduate degrees strongly preferred).
  • AmeriCorps members will have access to students ages 17 and under, thus a National Service Criminal History Check is required. Applicants must complete and pass a criminal background check.
  • Must be able to commit to completing 1700 hours of full-time service over 11 months, with a living allowance of $9,000.
  • AmeriCorps members will be eligible for an education award upon successful completion of service with satisfactory performance evaluation.
