Manager, External Communications - North Dallas

We are Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas and we are building the next generation of female leaders. We are currently seeking a motivated, proactive, creative, and results-driving communications professional to join our Marketing and Communications team. The Manager of External Communications will directly manage activities that establish, promote, enhance, and protect the organizations brand and reputation. The successful candidate will articulate and advocate the mission of the organization by developing and executing external communication strategies to broaden visibility, engagement and understanding to the Northeast Texas community.

Sales Support Specialist (Inside) - North Dallas

The Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas is looking for you to join our Sales Team as a Sales Support Specialist. Supporting an assigned geographic area, the Sales Support Specialist is responsible for working cross-functionally and collaboratively to ensure all activities required for membership are completed. He/she is also responsible for administrative functions that support both the outside sales teams’ efforts to meet sales goals to increase overall Girl Scout troop membership growth.

Recruiter - Dallas

We are looking for a Recruiter. He/she will help bring the Girl Scout experience to girls and adults.  The Recruiter is responsible for developing and executing effective sales strategies to increase girl and volunteer membership with the Girl Scouts. In an established geographic area, he/she is responsible for generating leads and prospects to meet membership goals and increase overall Girl Scout troop membership growth. The individual will be responsible for Dallas and the surrounding areas.

After School Group Leader - Dallas

Community Programs provides high quality Girl Scout programs in various schools that include Uplift Education and Dallas ISD. The mission is to build courage, confidence and character in school age girls. The After School Group Leader (Program Delivery Specialist) facilitates the delivery of Girl Scout curriculum and programs, as well as helps girls with their language proficiency. The Program Delivery Specialist will be required to work afterschool.

Seasonal Positions

Assistant Camp Director

Palestine, Sumner & Denison

We're looking for two Assistant Camp Directors at our camp properties: Camp Bette Perot in Palestine, Camp Gambill in Sumner, and Camp Rocky Point in Denison.

Responsibilities include the planning and implementation of outdoor Girl Scout programming, serving as the go-to person for handling mental, emotional, and social health issues, and providing prevention and intervention consultation to council leadership and designated staff on issues related to all girls' well-being. Incumbents will be expected to live on camp. 

Resident camp sessions run from June to the end of July, with training provided prior to the start of camp.  

Requirement Summary:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, child development or related field, or equivalent combination of education and practical work experience.
  • At least 1 year, or two prior seasons, of administrative or supervisory experience in an organized camp or school setting.
  • Ability to excise balanced judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions, and to handle difficult or confrontational situations in a calm, consistent and equitable manner.
  • High level of comfort speaking to diverse audiences: girls, parents and Senior Leadership.
  • Experienced at conflict resolution

Program Director

Palestine, Sumner & Denison

If you love camping, spending time outdoors, working with children, and are at least 21 years old, then you're just who we're looking for!

The Program Director is responsible for planning and implementing special/non-recurring program activities that are specific to various camp experiences, including low ropes, badge earnings, Journey activities, etc., and safeguarding all campers and staff during these planned activities. Resident camp sessions run from June to August 1.

We're specifically in search of Program Directors for our camp property in Palestine (Camp Bette Perot) and another Program Director who will split their summer between our properties in Sumner (Camp Gambill) and Denison (Camp Rocky Point).

Pool Director
Waterfront Director - Denison & Sumner, TX

Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas is looking for a Waterfront Director.  If you know a spirited-sidekick who loves camping, spending time outdoors, working with children, and is at least 21 years old, we’d love to have you on our team.   Resident camp sessions run from June 16 to August 2 and staff training begins June 2.  Must have waterfront lifeguard experience.  The Waterfront Director will work at our Camp Gambill and Camp Rocky Point.

Camp Gambill is ready to be a “home away from home” for the girl who can’t wait to swim in a lake, kayak with friends, play a game of sand volleyball, aim for a bull’s-eye at the archery range, or try Goosey Golf before heading back to her air-conditioned cabin with her new camp friends!

Camp Rocky Point - laughing with friends, sleeping in platform tents, splashing in the lake, learning to kayak or sail, aiming for a bull’s-eye at the archery range, and roasting marshmallows are just some of the memories that Rocky Point girls will make this summer! Although much of the day is spent enjoying outside activities, air-conditioned unit shelters are great for cooling off while hanging out with new friends and making crafts.

Camp Nurse
Unit Leader

Responsible for planning, teaching, and coordinating all unit activities, while helping unit campers to develop an enjoyment and appreciation of the outdoors.  The Unit Leader will assist and supervise the other Unit Counselors.

Camp Counselor/Lifeguard
Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas VISTA

At the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas (GSNETX), girls learn the skills, have the experiences, and cultivate the relationships that enable them to soar in life. Through the Girl Scout Academy model, the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas VISTA Members will help expand GSNETX’s reach to provide more opportunities to girls in both low-income and Spanish speaking communities by engaging with strategic partners, community organizations and schools to host Girl Scout troops in areas not traditionally served with the Girl Scout program

Member Duties: VISTA Members will serve to strengthen the infrastructure within the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas organization to reach more girls and provide innovative 21st-century programming designed to build female leaders of tomorrow. Members will establish new partnerships and opportunities for the financial literacy program, field trips, special events and community service projects. To ensure sustainable partnerships the VISTA members will develop reporting and tracking systems to document partnership commitments. Additionally, the members will work with partnering organizations to establish best practices for program reporting, attendance, and registration. Members will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of K-12 program curriculum. With the creation of pre-surveys and post-surveys members will conduct audits of program quality and effectiveness.
