Help our Property Team by providing general maintenance and custodial services in accordance with the council’s policies and standards. STEM Program Manager - South Dallas

AmeriCorps Program Specialist

At the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas, we believe in the power of every girl. That’s why we’re looking for an AmeriCorps Program Specialist that can do amazing things! The AmeriCorps Program Specialist is responsible for providing administrative support to the Director, Human Resources and the Director, STEM Center of Excellence to coordinate and implement the Girl Scout AmeriCorps program. He/she will provide operational and administrative support to the department including member onboarding, tracking member hours, data entry and regular correspondence with members, fielding calls, collecting grant required paperwork, updating program databases, and maintaining program files.  This position is part-time.

Volunteer Learning Specialist

The Volunteer Learning Specialist is responsible for providing direct support to initiatives of the Director of Volunteer & Organizational Learning to engage, educate, and empower adult Girl Scout volunteers. In this role, the Learning Specialist will assume daily primary responsibility for (1) monitoring registrations and trainer course coverage for in person events and classes, seeking to fill classes & events by promoting them in social media channels (2) ensuring that all course materials are printed and supplies are stocked in various locations and (3) performing administrative duties for scheduling in person learning opportunities and scheduling publication of daily posts and events on the GSNETX Learning Channel.

We are the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas, and we are looking for part-time Program Delivery Specialist (Group Leader) for our Girl Scouting in the School Day Program in East Texas.  With the right team of amazing people, we can help girls thrive in the 21st century. After School Group Leader - Dallas

Community Programs provides high quality Girl Scout programs in various schools that include Uplift Education and Dallas ISD. The mission is to build courage, confidence and character in school age girls. The After School Group Leader (Program Delivery Specialist) facilitates the delivery of Girl Scout curriculum and programs, as well as helps girls with their language proficiency. The Program Delivery Specialist will be required to work afterschool.

AmeriCorps Positions

AmeriCorps STEM Program Facilitator

The AmeriCorps Program Facilitator is responsible for program delivery, chaperoning participants during assigned sessions, and assisting with station rotation and other girl involved activities. This person will share in the implementation and coordination of high-quality programming that meets the goals and objectives of GSNETX Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) programs at the STEM Center of Excellence. 

We are looking for members as diverse as the community we serve and with the following eligibility requirements:

  • Must be a US citizen or legal permanent resident and authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must have a high school diploma or be willing to earn one while serving (undergraduate degree strongly preferred).
  • AmeriCorps Members will have access to students age 17 or younger, thus a National Service Criminal History Check is required. Must complete and pass a criminal background check.
  • Able to commit to completing either 1700 hours of full time service over 11 months with a living allowance of $14,500.00 or;
  • Able to commit to completing 900 hours of half time service over 4 months with a living allowance of $9,000.00.
  • AmeriCorps members will be eligible for an education award upon successful completion of service with a satisfactory performance evaluation.

AmeriCorps Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship VISTA

At the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas (GSNETX), girls learn the skills, have the experiences, and cultivate the relationships that enable them to soar in life. The Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship VISTA will collaborate with the Product Sales team to provide financial literacy and entrepreneurship programs for girls in partnership with adult volunteers.

Member Duties: The Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship VISTA member will serve to strengthen the infrastructure within the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas organization to reach more girls and provide innovative 21st-century programming designed to build female leaders of tomorrow. The VISTA will help develop tools and resources for use in financial literacy 5 skills programming and digital media/cybersecurity/website development programming for girls participating in GSNETX financial literacy programs. The VISTA will build awareness and share program information with volunteers, schools and Girl Scout Programs including low-income and community outreach groups. The VISTA will establish new partnerships and opportunities for the financial literacy program, field trips, special events and community service projects. To ensure sustainable partnerships the VISTA members will develop reporting and tracking systems to document partnership commitments.
