Help our Retail Team by providing managerial oversight for several retail shops within an assigned geographic area.  The Retail Shop Supervisor is part of the Senior Retail Management Team which makes decisions on promotions, events, purchasing and marketing for retail shops. This position will work at our Allen and North Dallas shops.

Sales Associate - Collin Area Shop

The Sales Associate is a key employee in maintaining good retail customer service in the GSNETX shop.  She/He is responsible for serving customers which include Girl Scout volunteers, parents and girls as well as internal staff customers. Average work week:  12 - 26 hours per week, includes working Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesdays and Fridays – 10:00 am to 5:30 pm.

AmeriCorps Program Assistant


AmeriCorps Program Assistant

The AmeriCorps Program Assistant is responsible for Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas (GSNETX) program delivery, chaperoning participants during assigned sessions and assisting with station rotation and other girl involved activities. This person will share in the implementation and coordination of high quality programming that meets the goals and objectives of GSNETX Girl Scout Leadership Experience and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) programming at the STEM Center of Excellence. 

Program areas of STEM, life skills, entrepreneurship and indoor/outdoor activities will be regular topics of educational activities provided. This person is also responsible for the emotional and physical health and safety of girls under supervision.

We are looking for members as diverse as the community we serve and with the following eligibility requirements:

  • Must be a US citizen or legal permanent resident and authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Must be at least 18 years old.

  • Able to commit to completing 900 hours of half time service over 11 months with a living allowance of $9,000.00.

  • AmeriCorps members will be eligible for an education award upon successful completion of service with a satisfactory performance evaluation.

AmeriCorps Camp Specialist

AmeriCorps Camp Specialist I

The AmeriCorps Camp Specialist I is cross trained and responsible for participating as a member of the outdoor leadership adventure and STEM program at the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas (GSNETX). The AmeriCorps Camp Specialist I carries out specific responsibilities for the implementation of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience with a special emphasis on carrying out duties in the aquatic, archery and ropes programs. This position is also responsible for the safeguarding of participants’ health, safety, and security during the activities while providing a fun scouting experience. 

Note: This person will be expected to be certified in ropes, lifeguarding and/or archery and will on occasion be expected to facilitate all three activities. GSNETX will provide certification training and successful completion of certification is a condition of continued service.

Location: STEM Center of Excellence and other GSNETX camps as assigned.

We are looking for members as diverse as the community we serve and with the following eligibility requirements:

  • Must be willing to become certified in either archery, ropes/high adventure or lifeguarding. Training will be provided.

  • AmeriCorps Members will have access to students age 17 or younger, thus a National Service Criminal History Check is required. Must complete and pass a criminal background check.

Assistant Camp Director

Palestine, Sumner & Denison

We're looking for two Assistant Camp Directors at our camp properties: Camp Bette Perot in Palestine, Camp Gambill in Sumner, and Camp Rocky Point in Denison.

Responsibilities include the planning and implementation of outdoor Girl Scout programming, serving as the go-to person for handling mental, emotional, and social health issues, and providing prevention and intervention consultation to council leadership and designated staff on issues related to all girls' well-being. Incumbents will be expected to live on camp. 

Resident camp sessions run from June to the end of July, with training provided prior to the start of camp.  

Requirement Summary:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, child development or related field, or equivalent combination of education and practical work experience.
  • At least 1 year, or two prior seasons, of administrative or supervisory experience in an organized camp or school setting.
  • Ability to excise balanced judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions, and to handle difficult or confrontational situations in a calm, consistent and equitable manner.
  • High level of comfort speaking to diverse audiences: girls, parents and Senior Leadership.
  • Experienced at conflict resolution

Program Director

Palestine, Sumner & Denison

If you love camping, spending time outdoors, working with children, and are at least 21 years old, then you're just who we're looking for!

The Program Director is responsible for planning and implementing special/non-recurring program activities that are specific to various camp experiences, including low ropes, badge earnings, Journey activities, etc., and safeguarding all campers and staff during these planned activities. Resident camp sessions run from June to August 1.

We're specifically in search of Program Directors for our camp property in Palestine (Camp Bette Perot) and another Program Director who will split their summer between our properties in Sumner (Camp Gambill) and Denison (Camp Rocky Point).
