Have you ever thought about how cool it would be if you were a veterinarian someday? Do you love helping take care of animals and want to know more about what it takes to keep them healthy? If so, this is the session for you! You'll gain insight into these types of careers as you meet guest speakers who work with animals such as a veterinarian or a vet tech. Enjoy hands-on activities related to daily horse care, treating minor horse injuries, and preventative care such as vaccinations. You'll spend time in the saddle in both arena classes and on trail rides. Cadettes will earn the GSNETX Saddle Up badge. Swimming, archery, and hanging out with your new camp friends are also awaiting you at camp this week!

Work together with new camp friends to groom a pony and then show it off at the pony party! This week you'll go on one trail ride and earn the GSNETX Horse Happy patch!

Red, white, and blue will be our colors of the week and you’ll get the chance to create an awesome tie-dyed shirt, a yummy snack, and cool crafts while also spending time with a proud member of the U.S. military (he’s also a Girl Scout)! There will even be time to go swimming, try archery, cook a meal over a campfire, and spend time at the barn earning the GSNETX Horse Happy badge and going on a trail ride.

Are you ready for this horseback challenge? You’ll begin your day preparing your horse for amazing fun and discover what it takes to get ready for competitions such as showmanship, horsemanship, and the Cowgirl Up Rodeo! In addition to getting the chance to earn ribbons and awards, there will also be time for you to go swimming, aim for a bull’s-eye at the archery range, tie-dye, and enjoy other camp fun! *Prerequisites: Participants must have the ability to saddle, bridle, lead and tie. This session is all about creating dishes and enjoying the time spent in the kitchen with friends. You’ll be issued a series of culinary challenges to work on in teams as you expand your skills. When you’re not busy in the kitchen, there will be time to hang out with friends swimming, kayaking, aiming for the bull’s-eye at the archery range, and having lots of fun! Cadettes will earn the New Cuisine and Entrepreneur badges, Seniors will earn the Locavore badge, and Ambassadors will earn the Dinner Party badge.

Discover the fun of camp at night! Spend your days hanging out with your new camp friends enjoying activities like swimming, kayaking, corcyling, bubble soccer, and aiming for a bull’s-eye on the archery range. You’ll learn the basics of sailing including how to rig, steer, and recover from a capsized boat and still have time swimming, kayaking, tie-dying a shirt, being led on a short horseback ride, and aiming for a bull’s-eye on the archery range! Prerequisites: Girls must be strong swimmers who feel comfortable in the water and can swim at least 100 yards and tread water for two minutes. Girls who are not able to demonstrate these skills will not be permitted to sail and will participate in other activities during sailing time.

Enjoy swimming and kayak races, exploring the woods, learning letters from the Greek alphabet, designing a Greek style vase, discovering survival skills and how to pitch a tent, conquering the obstacle course, and playing a game of capture the flag. Of course, there will be many other exciting adventures awaiting you at our ‘Camp Half-Blood’ whether at the archery range, waterfront, or someplace in-between!

Then you won’t want to miss this session where you’ll earn an American Red Cross Babysitting certification and an American Red Cross First Aid/ CPR/ AED certificate. You’ll also learn about starting a business as you earn the Cadette Entrepreneur badge, get to spend time with and ask questions of a marketing professional, tie-dye a shirt, go swimming, kayaking, and paddleboarding, join with teammates to conquer the obstacle course, and gain experience working with younger girls! Please note that all participants must be at least 11 years old to earn the Babysitting certificate.

Can’t decide between riding horses and kayaking or sleeping in a platform tent or an air-conditioned cabin? Why not do it all this summer! You’ll start your adventure at Camp Rocky Point swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, aiming for a bull’s-eye at the archery range, learning survival skills and how to pitch a tent, discovering backpacking basics, conquering the obstacle course, and trying the NEW HATCHET THROWING ACTIVITY. Then, you’ll spend the second part of the session in Bette’s Treehouse at Camp Bette Perot where you will enjoy horseback riding, swimming, and even get to climb the rock wall before zooming down the zip line! Cadettes will earn the Archery badge, Seniors will earn the Paddling badge, and Ambassadors will earn the Ultimate Recreation Challenge badge. This session is for mature campers.
