Girl Scout day camp is the place to be this summer. She'll dabble in outdoor and STEM activities that ignite her playful spirit and inspire her imagination - day or night! Offered at various locations.

This workshop begins by exploring the Web Development and Design Career Pathway, followed by a lesson on HTML & CSS, and culminates into a final project. All in at the STEM Center - Family Days

Bring your family and friends to explore all the STEM Center has to offer. Have fun hiking, swimming, exploring science through the outdoor soundscape, observation tower and the energy in motion zone. For an extra fee add archery, low ropes course or Giant Swing (4th grade & older only). This is a self-guided use of the facility space and does not include badge workshops. Girl Scouts must be supervised at all times following safety-wise ratios.

Week-Long Day Camps
All required forms will be completed in CampDoc, an online system where parents/guardians can submit information about their camper's health history, buddy request and more. You'll receive an email from CampDoc with information on how to access your online account to complete this information.

To hold your camper's placement, register online and make two camp payments. Please note these guidelines:
 
First Payment $50 non-refundable deposit is due, plus extended care or bus fees.
Second Payment Remaining balance is due by May 1, 2019 and must be paid in full online at any time prior to the due date through your eBiz account.
If balance is not paid in full by May 1, 2019, your camper's placement and $50 deposit will be forefeited.

Financial Assistance
Financial assistance may be requested for any registered Girl Scout living in the 32 counties served by Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas. GSNETX makes every effort to assist as many girls as possible from our allocated funds. Families with financial situations that may prevent them from participating in a Week-Long Day Camp or Single Day Workshop can request assistance for all or part of the session fee.
 
Week-long Day Camps at The STEM Center
  1. Complete the GSNETX Financial Assistance Request for STEM Week Long Day Camps.
  2. After submitting your request, you will instantly see the percentage approved, not including the $50 deposit. To accept financial assistance for this percentage of your session fee, click 'next' to pay the deposit.
  3. Upon completion, you will receive an email confirmation for your deposit and the percentage granted for your Week Long Day Camp.
  4. You will then be notified (via email) of the remaining balance after the financial assistance request and registration has been processed by GSNETX.
  5. Log in to your eBiz account to pay the remaining balance owed. The remaining balance is due May 1, 2019. 
Single Day Workshops at The STEM Center
  1. Complete the GSNETX Event and Training Financial Assistance.  You will be notified of the amount granted by email.
  2. You MUST respond to the email to accept the amount granted for GSNETX to process your financial assistance and registration.
  3. You will then receive a confirmation of registration and an email with the remaining balance due.

This year at Twilight Oaks Camp we will be learning how we interact with the world - and how it interact with us. Join us a we explore our local ecosystems, the far away galaxies, and everything in between. We will be using a variety of STEM activities to explore the wide world we live in. Twilight Oaks Camp is set in a traditional camp setting complete with trees, a pond, and hiking trails; but we still have real bathrooms! We offer an overnight campout on Friday complete with campfire, roasted hot dogs, S'mores, night hikes, and lots of fun.

June 17 - 21 Breckinridge Trails Twilight Camp: Richardson - Into the Woods $60

Join us at beautiful Breckinridge Park this June as we explore the great outdoors in one of Richardson's most expansive parks. While spending time in nature, campers will learn about the world of geocaching and letterboxing, outdoor cooking, local insects and plants, and just maybe get to meet some woodland creatures! We will also have fun with the Breckinridge Trails traditions of archery, puzzles/riddles, and snow-cones each day.

Come join the fun as we explore the world of girls in the past, present, and future! Travel to the past while making crafts and dancing to a different beat! Have fun participating in Girl Scout camping traditions and testing your skills on the archery range. Get creative and see how girls can change the future!

July 8 - 12 Grayson Area Twilight Camp - Carnival $60

Have you ever been to a carnival? Grayson Twilight Camp is having a carnival for all age groups. Monday through Thursday, the Girl Scouts will be working on different badges, with Wednesday being WATER DAY!!! Snacks will be provided each night but it is recommended that Girl Scouts eat prior to coming to camp. Girl Scouts will earn tickets throughout the week to use on Friday at the Family and Friends Carnival. At the Carnival, we will have lots of games and real carnival food.

Camper -  Girls entering K-7 in fall 2019 ($60) 
Sign up to attend day/twilight camp as a “Day/Twilight Camper.” Campers will be assigned to a unit of girls of a similar age level to participate in the camp activities during the week.

Camp Aide - Girls entering 8-12 in fall 2019 ($30)
Camp Aides are girls who have attended Day/Twilight camp for several years and now have the opportunity to serve in a leadership capacity. Camp Aides will work with the Day/Twilight staff in the months prior to camp registration opening, and will take on various leadership roles that will develop their skills and confidence in working with, and planning activities for, younger campers.

Camp Youth Staff - Girls entering 10-12 in fall 2019 ($0)
Youth Staff are girls who began working with Day/Twilight staff last fall to plan upcoming sessions. Working as a Youth Staff member can be as simple as planning, organizing and running 1 or 2 activity stations, to working in a unit to lead activities under the guidance of an adult mentor, to collaborating with others to organize camp for the week.

Adult Volunteer - ($0)
Adults are invited and needed to register and attend camp as a volunteer staff member. Adults must register as a Girl Scout member, complete an annual background check, and complete TR402: Protecting Our Girls and  Day/Twilight Camp training.

Tagalongs (Boys/Preschool Girl of Adult Volunteer) - ($30)
Adults volunteering to work at camp have the option to bring their children who are not of an age to camp with them. Children will receive programming appropriate to their age group and participate in many camp activities.  Boys and girls ages 3-5 who are toilet trained, and boys ages 6-13, may attend on days their parent works at camp. Please contact the camp director of the camp you intend to volunteer for to get more details.  

Financial Assistance

Financial assistance may be requested for any registered Girl Scout living in the 32 counties served by Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas. GSNETX makes every effort to assist as many girls as possible from our allocated funds. Families with financial situations that may prevent them from participating in the Day/Twilight program can request assistance for all or part of the session fee.   

If requesting Financial Assistance for Volunteer-Run Camp:

1. Complete the GSNETX Financial Assistance Online Request

2. The application process will indicate the amount granted, and the remaining balance due.

3. Pay the remaining balance to complete the application process. 

4. You will receive an email confirmation for your payment and application.

5. You will receive an email once your registration is complete.

6. Incomplete requests will not be processed.

NOTE: You may only apply for financial assistance at one Volunteer-Run Camp per summer. Camps fill up fast - be sure to complete your application as soon as possible.

Additional Information

Adult and camper registration is be available through CampDoc, an online system where users can submit health history information and more! Registrations canceled in writing before the registration close date will receive a full refund. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations that occur after the registration deadline date.

Cookie Dough/ Gift Card Reimbursement

Cookie Dough is credit a girl can earn while participating in the Cookie Program. To use your Cookie Dough, register for the Volunteer-Run camp session you wish to attend and submit this form to GSNETX.

Complete, sign and upload it to your CampDoc account.

Immunization Exemption Request
To be completed for all camper who are not fully immunized based on age requirements. This form must be completed, signed and uploaded to your CampDoc account.
