Join Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas for a panel discussion about the impact of inequality and injustice on girls’ mental health. As girls witness these issues in our world, they may feel a range of emotions, such as sadness, anxiety, anger, and fear. As an organization, we are devoted to becoming empathetic leaders who make the world a better place, just as we want for our girl leaders of tomorrow. This means boldly addressing issues of racism, prejudice, and discrimination. This discussion will provide an opportunity for parents and volunteers of all backgrounds to learn about how these issues affect our girls and our communities of color. Our discussion conversation will be led by expert panelists, Licensed Professional Counselor, Marcellina Melvin, MA and Child, Adolescent Psychiatrist, Dr. Nakia G. Scott, M.D., and Licensed Professional Counselor, Dr. Terra Wagner.

*GSNETX volunteers and parents are welcome!
