Discovery Science Place

Description: The Discovery Science Place is a nonprofit children's science museum with a mission of igniting curiosity in young minds through fun, hands-on exploration.

For 27 years we have served our East Texas community by providing fun, accessible STEM education to families and students via museum visits, outreach programming, community programs,special exhibits, and annual events. We support the mission of the Girl Scouts and all organizations that work to provide a brighter future for our children.

We can offer small group programs/experiences at special request. Please call for information. 

Cost: For most the museum admission price only. For badge sessions, the amount is generally in the $20-$25 range.

Availability to travel: With COVID-19 restrictions, we are unable to do so at this time, but normally we can and do travel.

Awards offered: Girl Scouts may  earn a variety of badges and fun patches at the DSP via our multiple badge sessions held annually, our museum scavenger hunt or at  special events such as the Tyler Maker Faire.

Meeting space available:   Free meeting space available for troops.
