The Biodiversity Education Center

Description: The Biodiversity Education Center (BEC) creates an appropriate bridge to the outdoors through natural space, a Nature Explore Area, and hands-on environmental education programs. Participants of education programs develop a deeper connection to their environmental as the lean about local flora, fauna, natural processes, and sustainability issues.

Awards Offered: Many of the existing BEC programs align with outdoor and journey badge topics for grades K-8, some BEC programs also align with STEM, life skills, citizenship, relationships, art, and health topics. BEC is also open to developing new programs that align with badge requirements and the BEC mission.
