Think of patches like a scrapbook of activities. Fun Patches and Council Patches are available in the council shops unless otherwise noted. 

Texas 2020 Women's Right to Vote Centennial Patch

The 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment occurs in 2020.  Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas is excited for girls to learn more about the process of amending the constitution and the efforts that take place to get an amendment ratified into law

OkayToSay Patch Design  for Web

Okay to Say™
Girls will learn about mental health issues and how it affects our community. This patch program is held in partnership with Okay to Say™. Complete this patch anytime this year.  #OkayToSayGS

Pajamas for Seniors Patch Design

Pajamas for Seniors
Formerly Silver Lining, girls will donate NEW pajamas and improve the quality of life for residents of nursing homes, assisted living and adult daycare facilities. Complete this patch anytime this year.  #PajamasForSeniorsGS

Start with Kindness for Web

Start With Kindness
Girls will learn to be responsible for what they say and do by practicing kindness and getting rid of tacky words. Complete this patch anytime this year.  #StartWithKindnessGS


Tackle Hunger
Formerly Peanut Butter Buddy, girls will learn about food insecurity and how they can make a difference in their community.  Complete this patch September through February.  #TackleHungerGS


Be Brave
Girls will become courageous and strong as they seek challenges and try something new outdoors. Complete this patch in October.  #BeBraveGS

Do a Good Turn
Girls partner with their local Goodwill Industries in DallasNortheast Texas and East Texas to help individuals with disadvantages by collecting usable items for Goodwill to sell. This patch is held in partnership with Goodwill Industries. Complete this patch in October.  #DoAGoodTurnGS

Share the Warmth
Girls will learn about poverty and homelessness, then donate items that help people stay warm. This patch program is held in partnership with the Salvation Army and Sleep Experts. Complete this patch in November.  #ShareTheWarmthGS

Capital One Digital Do-Gooder
Girls will use STEM to make the world a better place as they gain valuable engineering and computer coding skills. This patch program is held in partnership with Capital One. Complete this patch in December. #DigitalDoGooderGS


Booth Sleuth
Mystery Shoppers, also known as Booth Sleuths, will be visiting cookie booths at random across all of GSNETX in January & February. If girls’ booth etiquette and presentation skills meet expectations, the Booth Sleuth will share that girls have earned the Booth Sleuth patch and distribute patches on the spot. Patches will only be distributed by Booth Sleuths and cannot be earned elsewhere. This patch program is held in partnership with Wells Fargo. #BoothSleuthGS

FINAL-2019 STEM Seal Patche-Engineering-Fluor-06-02

Engineering Month
Girls celebrate Engineering week all month long by attending events, workshops, or completing engineering badges and journeys. This patch program is held in partnership with Fluor. Complete this patch in February. #EngineeringMonthGS 


Celebrate Diversity
Girls learn that diversity and inclusion are Girl Scout traditions. They can make the world a better place as they explore and celebrate diversity in their community. Complete this patch in March. #CelebrateDiversityGS


Financial Literacy
Girls apply the skills they learned during cookie season to their everyday life. With a focus on the Financial Literacy Badges, this patch will help girls develop lifelong skills. Complete this patch in March. #FinanacialLiteracyGS


Reduce Reuse Recycle
Girls may celebrate Earth Day all month long as they learn that using resources wisely makes the world a better place. Complete this patch in April. #ReduceReuseRecycleGS


Global Action Days Patch
Gives Girl Scouts the opportunity to take action on issues affecting their communities and the world. Complete this patch year-round. View Toolkit

History Museum Explorers
Discover your inner historian! Visit some of the Dallas’ best museums and participate in interactive curriculum that will connect girls to our vibrant past.

The base and star of the patch can be purchased at GSNETX shops. Flags are bought separately during each museum visit.


Camp Project Partner 
Earn this patch by doing a special camp service project on any GSNETX campsite.


Girl Scout Troop Camping Patch 
For Girl Scout troops who camp at any GSNETX campsite. This patch consists of basic patch and segments that represent each council campsite.


Totem Pole Patch (5 total)
Visit GSNETX camps to earn this 5-part Totem Pole patch through fun outdoor activities.


Polar Bear Award
Earn this patch by camping in a tent (including platform tents) for one night when the temperature reaches 32 degrees or below at any GSNETX campsite.


TLC Camper Patch
Girls can earn the TLC Camper patch when they (1) demonstrate ‘‘tender loving care’’ for council camp grounds, equipment and facilities, and (2) satisfactorily complete the Camp Site Check-Out List. (Sold as a set.) 


Girls of "Note"
Girls of "Note" encourages girls to continue one of the traditional skills of Girl Scouts: singing. As you go along in Girl Scouts, you’ll learn more and more songs each year!


Mission Military Patch
Mission Military is an opportunity to learn more about military service and history. Girls of all program levels can earn this patch!


My Flag, My Country & Me  
Brownies through Ambassadors will learn to fold a flag, say the Pledge of Allegiance in sign language and conduct a formal flag ceremony, just to name a few, in order to earn these badges.


Scouting Northeast Texas
All girls can earn the Scouting Northeast Texas patch by learning about their community.


Summer Reading Program
The summer reading program is designed to encourage Girl Scouts to read, even when school is out! As with all activities, parents should be comfortable with the reading material their children choose.


Scouting Our Past
Uncover the fascinating stories of women who were Girl Scouts through Scouting Our Past.

STEM Seal of Approval

(GSNETX will provide handouts at STEM events that explain which portion of the STEM Seal of Approval will be earned.)

We are committed to building girls’ interest, awareness, and competence in STEM. Your girls can join the fun by working on special GSNETX Council STEM patches. The black, center patch and State Farm patch are free and will be earned after completing the online reporting form. Please allow 2-3 weeks to receive an email about pick-up details.
