It's Your Planet- Love It Journey series invites girls to make sense of the wealth of environmental information available so they can act for the betterment of Earth and its inhabitants at the beautiful Blackland Prairie Raptor Center park and prairie.
During this one afternoon event, girls will complete the requirements to earn their journey award, begin planning their Take Action project, and have FUN!
- Check-in time begins 30 minutes before start time. Emergency contact information for each attendee (girls and adults) must be provided by the Leader/Lead Adult before the event date.
- Dress for the event, including long pants and close-toes shoes. Be prepared for rain, windy conditions, cold, etc.
- Each girl should bring a reusable water bottle, Girl Scout vest or sash, sunscreen, bug spray, and a hat. Girls will need their hands free for activities, so a small backpack or carrying strap for water bottles is a good idea.
- Girls may bring a pickle bucket if desired.
- BPRC does not conduct drop-off events. No tagalongs are allowed. Minimum adults allowed by GSNETX safety guidelines.
- All activity supplies and a snack are provided by BPRC. If your child has a specific food allergy or food preferences, you may opt to send a nut-free snack from home.
- The Journey patch is not included.
