Pack your bag, grab your sense of adventure, and hop in! Our Adventure Camping trips bring Senior and Ambassador* Girl Scouts together for travel-based experiences across Texas that combine the excitement of exploring new places with the fun of outdoor tent camping. Girls will pitch their own tents, cook meals together, and build real-world camping skills in a variety of scenic locations. Whether it’s hiking new trails, visiting historic sites, or trying activities you’ve never done before, every trip is packed with friendship, discovery, and the confidence that comes from doing it yourself!

Meet Rachel!
Rachel works at Camp Whispering Cedars and is the leader of our Adventure Camping trips. She enjoys the outdoors and has a passion for taking Girl Scouts around Texas, teaching them camping skills, and building up their confidence. To prioritize the safety of campers, Rachel is Wilderness First Responder certified.
Rachel grew up loving the outdoors, so working at camp has been a fulfilling job for her. She has been working at Camp Whispering Cedars for about four years now; she started this job right out of college as a STEM Program Specialist and has worked up to being Camp Whispering Cedars Camp Director. Her favorite part of working at camp is working to get Girl Scouts in STEM-based fields to build their confidence up for a future career. She feels Girl Scouts is the place to grow in so many different ways, and is proud to get to be a part of that experience!
