Meet Rachel!
Rachel works at Camp Whispering Cedars and is the leader of our Adventure Camping trips. She enjoys the outdoors and has a passion for taking Girl Scouts around Texas, teaching them camping skills, and building up their confidence. To prioritize the safety of campers, Rachel is Wilderness First Responder certified.
Rachel grew up loving the outdoors, so working at camp has been a fulfilling job for her. She has been working at Camp Whispering Cedars for about four years now; she started this job right out of college as a STEM Program Specialist and has worked up to being Camp Whispering Cedars Camp Director. Her favorite part of working at camp is working to get Girl Scouts in STEM-based fields to build their confidence up for a future career. She feels Girl Scouts is the place to grow in so many different ways, and is proud to get to be a part of that experience!
