Meet Karina and Rachel!
Karina and Rachel work at Camp Whispering Cedars and are the leaders of our Adventure Camping trips. They both enjoy the outdoors and have a passion for taking Girl Scouts around Texas, teaching them camping skills, and building up their confidence. To prioritize the safety of campers, Karina and Rachel are both Wilderness First Responder certified.
Karina is a Program Instructor at Camp Whispering Cedars. She has previously worked as a wildlife biologist and loves teaching kids about birds, snakes, and native ecosystems. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, reading, and cooking!
Rachel is the Camp Director at Camp Whispering Cedars, and she focuses on hands on STEM experiences including woodworking and ceramics. She helped launch the first Adventure Camping trip in West Texas and has loved them ever since! In her free time, Rachel likes to be outside in any capacity, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
