Check descriptions and links for detailed patch requirements. Be sure to complete the online reporting form for each free patch program. Members of GSNETX receive sponsored patches for free. Out-of-Council troops may order patches from our shop. Email shop@gsnetx.org to place an order. 
 
If you would like to request patches for a program that is no longer available, please email programs@gsnetx.org. We will do our best to accommodate the request. However, there is no guarantee that the request may be filled.

Multicultural Community Celebration Fun Patch: Black History Month (Not a free patch)
Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements and contributions of the African American and Black communities—a time (though not the only time!) for emphasizing the central role of this varied community throughout U.S. history. Also known as African American History Month, the event grew out of “Negro History Week,” the brainchild of noted historian Carter G. Multicultural Community Celebration Fun Patch: LGBTQ+ Pride Month: (Not a free patch)
June is LGBTQ+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer) Pride Month, an annual celebration of the achievements, impact, and contributions of the LGBTQ+ community in the United States. In June we also commemorate the Stonewall uprising which marks the beginning of a movement to outlaw discriminatory laws and practices against LGBTQ+ Americans. As Girl Scouts we deeply value diversity and inclusion. A Girl Scout is a friend and ally to all families.

Jumpstart: Are your girls ready to have even more STEM adventures? Jumpstart is an easy to use, on-the-go digital assistant helping parents and volunteers to deliver empowering, enjoyable, STEM programming. Volunteers and Girl Scouts can earn a special Jumpstart patch when a parent or leader registers as a Jumpstart user and helps girls complete at least one badge of their choice using Jumpstart. When you have completed your first badge on Jumpstart, fill online reporting form  to request your patch.  Download PDF

September Patches
SPE patch 2022

Wonders of Polymer Science: Calling all innovative minds! Come learn how plastic is important to our modern lifestyle and see how polymer scientists and engineers are improving the world around us by developing new materials to make shoes, medical equipment, and bike helmets. You’ll even mold your own plastic items as you learn about basic color theory. Brought to you by the Society of Plastics Engineers. To complete this patch, pick up your free kit (one per troop) at your local Girl Scout shop. To watch videos pertaining to the patch, follow this link. When you have completed your patch, fill online reporting form to request your patch.

We are committed to building girls’ interest, awareness, and competence in STEM. Your girls can join the fun by working on special GSNETX Council STEM patches. The Texas Instruments STEM center, Air Liquide S, State Farm T, and Fluor E  are free. *The M patch is not free*

Once earned, complete the online reporting form and use your confirmation email to pick up your new patch.

Tree Promise:  Join in on our newest national service project by planting a tree and making an impact in your local community. Planting trees is a great way to become a steward of the environment. Trees provide places for animals and birds to live, reduce pollutants, filter water, and combat climate change. Letter-Writing Service Project: Girl Scouts will write letters to people in nursing homes, senior residences, and assisted living facilities, including the dedicated staff and caregivers. Cupid Crew Cards for Valentine’s Day Service Project: Valentine’s Day is the perfect opportunity for you and your troop to reach out and show others that you care—especially those who may be alone on a day that’s all about connection! Your troop can help spread joy to thousands of older adults across the country by writing Valentine’s Day cards. For more information, check the GSUSA website here.

Promote the Vote Service Project: Voting is arguably our most important civic duty—but barriers still exist. In many parts of the country, voting laws and protocols make it difficult for many people, especially people of color, to cast their votes in local and federal elections. Citizen Scientist Service Project: How can you play a part in solving some of the biggest problems facing our planet? Enter citizen science, where volunteers help scientists collect data for their studies and experiments. Girl Scouts and Faith: My Promise, My Faith Pin

The My Promise, My Faith pin invites Girl Scouts to experience a faith journey by exploring the connections between the Girl Scout Law and teachings from their faith. This pin can be earned each year. Requirements for this pin are included in The Girl’s Guide to Girl Scouting for all levels.
