Council Patch Programs

Think of patches like a scrapbook of activities. Fun Patches and Council Patches are available in the council shops unless otherwise noted.

IF/THEN® Collection Patch 
This is a newest addition to the STEM Seal of Approval. Click here to explore the largest free digital library, that includes thousands of photos, videos and other assets that authentically represent women in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Once done, complete the online reporting form and use your confirmation email to pick up your new patch. 

Okay to Say Patch Design

Okay to Say™ 
Girls will learn about mental health issues and how it affects our community. This patch program is held in partnership with Okay to Say™. Complete this patch anytime this year.  Download Patch Requirements

Check the green hashtags for detailed patch requirements! Be sure to complete the NEW  online reporting form  for each patch program. Members of GSNETX receive patches for free. Out-of-Council troops may order patches from our shop. Email to place an order. 
If you would like to request patches for a program that is no longer available, please email We will do our best to accommodate the request. However, there is no guarantee that the request may be filled.

Jumpstart: Are your girls ready to have even more STEM adventures? Jumpstart is an easy to use, on-the-go digital assistant helping parents and volunteers to deliver empowering, enjoyable, STEM programming. Volunteers and Girl Scouts can earn a special Jumpstart patch when a parent or leader registers as a Jumpstart user and helps girls complete at least one badge of their choice using Jumpstart. Get started today! #Jumpstart. When you have completed your first Badge on Jumpstart, fill online reporting form  to request your patch.

To earn this free patch complete any 1 of the following 3 badges for your PGL using the badge booklets, VTK or by attending a council hosted program as well as download and complete the activities in the Becoming Me Journal. Tackle Hunger
Formerly Peanut Butter Buddy, girls will learn about food insecurity and how they can make a difference in their community. Girls are encouraged to host a food drive and donate to a local food back. This patch is available through February.   #TackleHungerGS

Hispanic Heritage Month
This program is designed to help Girl Scouts of all cultures develop an understanding and appreciation of the richness, diversity and similarities of the Hispanic and Latin culture through Discover, Connect and Take Action.   #HispanicHeritage

Share the Warmth
Girls will learn about poverty and homelessness, then donate items that help people stay warm, such as blankets. This patch program is held in partnership with the Salvation Army and Sleep Experts. This patch is only available November through December.  #ShareTheWarmthGS

Pajamas for Seniors Patch Design

Pajamas for Seniors
Formerly Silver Lining, girls will donate NEW pajamas and improve the quality of life for residents of nursing homes, assisted living and adult daycare facilities. This patch is available year-round.   #PajamasForSeniorsGS

Black History Month Patch
Girl Scouts of all backgrounds are invited to learn about Black History Month and appreciate the noteworthy contributions of Black and African American people. Let’s honor the phenomenal African American women who shaped our history and the Girl Scout movement. This patch is available in February.  #BlackHistoryMonthGS

Fluor Engineering Month
Girls celebrate Engineering week all month long by attending events, workshops, or completing engineering badges and journeys. This patch program is held in partnership with Fluor. Complete this patch in February. #EngineeringMonthGS 


Verizon Earth Day
Girls may celebrate Earth Day all month long as they learn that using resources wisely makes the world a better place. This patch is only available in April.  #ReduceReuseRecycleGS


Celebrate Diversity
Girls learn that diversity and inclusion are Girl Scout traditions. They can make the world a better place as they explore and celebrate diversity in their community. This patch is available year-round.  #CelebrateDiversityGS


Ericsson 5G - IoT Patch
This patch leads Girl Scouts through the history of technology by encouraging them to engage, explore and explain how technology has advanced. From cell phones, to smart speakers and beyond, this patch program gets girls thinking about the technology that's all around us.  #5GIOT


Comerica Money$ense Patch
This patch will teach Girl Scouts of all ages that building money management skills now can continue to pay off decades into the future. Comerica has developed this engaging and interactive program that goes beyond bills and coins to understanding checking accounts, interest, and more.
*Bonus - by completing this curriculum, you may be eligible for funding/reimbursement of your Bronze, Silver, or Gold Award.

GSUSA Multicultural Community Patches

Multicultural Community Celebration Fun Patch: Hispanic Heritage Month
This patch is designed for Girl Scouts of all levels and their leaders, to celebrate the cultural richness of all people in the U.S. whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. Girls and leaders have plenty of activities to choose from to earn this fun patch, and we encourage girls from all ethnic backgrounds to participate, they are sure to learn interesting new things. Multicultural Community Celebration Fun Patch: Native American History Month
Throughout November, Native American Heritage Month celebrates the cultures, histories, and countless contributions that Native American communities have provided to the United States. We invite you to take this opportunity to learn more about the cultures of the Indian Nations in your state and across the country. We’ve got plenty of activities to choose from, so you can make new discoveries and have tons of fun learning while earning a fun patch! Click here for activities.

History Museum Explorers
Discover your inner historian! Visit some of the Dallas’ best museums and participate in interactive curriculum that will connect girls to our vibrant past.

The base and star of the patch can be purchased at GSNETX shops. Flags are bought separately during each museum visit.


Camp Project Partner 
Earn this patch by doing a special camp service project on any GSNETX campsite.


Girl Scout Troop Camping Patch 
For Girl Scout troops who camp at any GSNETX campsite. This patch consists of basic patch and segments that represent each council campsite.


Totem Pole Patch (5 total)
Visit GSNETX camps to earn this 5-part Totem Pole patch through fun outdoor activities.


Polar Bear Award
Earn this patch by camping in a tent (including platform tents) for one night when the temperature reaches 32 degrees or below at any GSNETX campsite.


TLC Camper Patch
Girls can earn the TLC Camper patch when they (1) demonstrate ‘‘tender loving care’’ for council camp grounds, equipment and facilities, and (2) satisfactorily complete the Camp Site Check-Out List. (Sold as a set.) 


Girls of "Note"
Girls of "Note" encourages girls to continue one of the traditional skills of Girl Scouts: singing. As you go along in Girl Scouts, you’ll learn more and more songs each year!


Mission Military Patch
Mission Military is an opportunity to learn more about military service and history. Girls of all program levels can earn this patch!


My Flag, My Country & Me  
Brownies through Ambassadors will learn to fold a flag, say the Pledge of Allegiance in sign language and conduct a formal flag ceremony, just to name a few, in order to earn these badges.


Scouting Northeast Texas
All girls can earn the Scouting Northeast Texas patch by learning about their community.


Summer Reading Program
The summer reading program is designed to encourage Girl Scouts to read, even when school is out! As with all activities, parents should be comfortable with the reading material their children choose.


Scouting Our Past
Uncover the fascinating stories of women who were Girl Scouts through Scouting Our Past.

STEM Seal of Approval

(GSNETX will provide handouts at STEM events that explain which portion of the STEM Seal of Approval will be earned.)

We are committed to building girls’ interest, awareness, and competence in STEM. Your girls can join the fun by working on special GSNETX Council STEM patches. The Texas Instruments STEM center, Air Liquide S, State Farm T, and Fluor E  are free. Once earned, complete the online reporting form and use your confirmation email to pick up your new patch.
