The Girl Scout Leadership Institute (GSLI) is an initiative of Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas to empower and equip high school girls to pursue higher education and expose them to a variety of career opportunities. The Institute gives girls in grades 9-12, the opportunity to visit local corporations and universities, gain access to female role models and empower girls to positively impact their communities now and in the future.
Career exploration supports a group of Girl Scouts to learn how to prepare for a career at a company by participating in group presentations, career panels, facility tours, and interactions with professionals.
Job shadowing provides an experience for Girl Scouts to network, seek career tips, references, internships in the future, and see a day to day work schedule. This opportunity is a one-day event during June and July.
We are beginning to plan for our summer programs of "job shadowing" and "career exploration." If you would like to participate in our summer programs, please complete this interest link. We will start reaching out with various opportunities as we get closer to the summer. Most opportunities will be in the months of June and July.
