Come explore immersive STEM experiences and outdoor high adventure at our 92-acre STEM Center of Excellence in Dallas, Texas. This experience is available for rising 11-12 grade girls who would like to devote a week to exploring a career in biomedical engineering through hands-on experimental learning, while also experiencing the adventure of high ropes, archery, and traditional Girl Scout camping. Nights will be reserved for excursions with STEM professionals who will lead Girl Scouts on experiences in North Texas including a visit to a professional sports game, college campus tours, a trip to the world-renowned Perot Museum, and visits to some culinary delights in Dallas.
Who Should Apply?
- Age: entering grades 11-12 in summer 2023
- Interests: coding, engineering, medicine
- Skills: completed Algebra 1 (at minimum); previous coding/engineering experience is a plus
- Required equipment: packing list will be provided after acceptance.
- Ignite your passion! This trip is great for Girl Scouts interested in solving problems through STEM.
The Cost:
Program Fee: $1,250.00 (out of council) | $1,050.00 (in council) program fee does not include airfare. Girls will need to arrange transportation to Dallas (Love Field or DFW International Airport).
Deposit due upon acceptance: $200. (This deposit is included in your trip Program Fee, not in addition to it.)
