North Texas is an economic and cultural powerhouse with no signs of slowing down.
But our girls are struggling to keep pace. Our State of the Girl Report revealed a hard truth: girls are not thriving at the same rate as their city. They’re falling behind in physical well-being, academic proficiency, and their mental health has reached crisis levels.
That should matter to all of us. Because today’s girls will become tomorrow’s business leaders, innovators, problem-solvers and community builders. By 2040, women are on track to dominate the Texas workforce.
Girl Scouts knows how to help girls thrive. Now we need to reach more of them.
The Fight for Her is the most ambitious campaign in our history, with a goal of raising $50 million to give more girls the experiences, skills and support to become strong leaders.
When we invest in girls, we invest in the future of North Texas.
With our community’s help and our know-how, we can give her spaces to grow, take risks, build confidence and discover what they can do. We can give her real chances to lead. We can teach her technical and human skills to navigate a changing world.
